The rest of the day proceeded well and we were able to win our practice match and also spend some time on the practice field to work on our autonomous modes. We had slight difficulties with frame perimeter during our Robot inspection but we were able to overcome them. There was a bunch of neat things to see and swag to be had. In 2019, our RoboFest teams got a 3rd place (JoeBots) and a 4th place (Enthiran) at World Championship. Robofest programs support Computer Science for All. Detroit will host the championship for three years beginning in April 2018. Theres huge self-interest for companies in backing FIRST. Robots can be programmed with any programming language. A FIRST Robotics World Championship held in our city. That role is a main reason FIRST is holding its inaugural Detroit-based championship and has committed to do so in 20 as well. Any robotics kits are allowed in the construction of robots. A retired team now committed to sharing our experiences & spreading youth robotics throughout our local community and beyond. Team members also got the chance to explore the Cobo Center and buy FIRST Clothing and some even got to see Woodie Flowers and have a picture taken with him! Fun was had by all when we stopped by the Innovation fair. Students design, construct, and program the robots. We are Automation Nation, a group of high school students from Birmingham, Michigan.

It took place over two weeks in two cities Detroit, MI, and Houston, TX. At this event, we were the talent buyer and artist/stage manager in tandem with several other wonderful vendors. With being an hour ahead of our normal time, teams members are having to get use to the time difference, but that didn’t stop the team from exploring Detroit! Several team members got to walk along the Detroit River and look at the beautiful skyline of Canada! We also took a tour of a little bit of Detroit on the people mover.
